The Festival of Fireworks has been organised by worldwide firework display experts Jubilee Fireworks since 1999. It is a well-loved event held on the first Saturday of September each year, in the stunning grounds of Catton Hall in Derbyshire.
Four incredible firework displays set to music and choreographed by leading display teams, light up the skies and amaze spectators. Unlike most firework events, there are no ‘competition rules’ to the style of design, so each company is able to showcase their artistry without restriction, and why so many people tell us that they’ve never seen anything like it before.
Thousands of aerial shells are set off during the Festival of Fireworks. Typically at a firework event, you may see aerial shells with a maximum diameter of 6″. We have fired shells with a diameter of 16″! These shells are rarely seen in the UK and were specially imported into the UK by Jubilee Fireworks specifically for the Festival and the only event in the UK that you may see such enormous and stunning effects.
Seeing is believing…
Caterers serving culinary delights will be situated in the Catton Hall grounds from 2pm. Take advantage of the many varied food stalls cooking up delicious foods from around the globe.
With the addition of desserts, hot and cold beverages, and an licensed bar, we think everyone in your party will be fully satisfied.
For those who want to enjoy the day to its fullest, we host a Steam Rally (weather permitting), plus Classic and Vintage vehicles of all shapes and sizes, in front of the beautiful grounds of Catton Hall.
Vintage steam engines and miniature vehicles fill the lawns, which can all be enjoyed alongside our Food Festival from 2pm onwards.
Children will love looking at all of the fascinating vehicles at our Festival. We even have a few traction engines which will allow rides plus steam gadgets that make all sorts of whistles and pops.
And for those who like to let off some of their own steam – we have bouncy castles and other activities for them to enjoy.
