Festival of Fireworks at Catton Hall

Why is this Festival so special?

The Festival of Fireworks has been a much loved annual event since 1999.  It is organised by Jubilee Fireworks; a globally respected and highly decorated display company which was founded over 30 years ago.

The Festival was originally located in the grounds of Shugborough Hall, former home of Lord Lichfield.  The event was relocated to the stunning grounds of Catton Hall in 2008, and has continued to expand.

The unique non-competition format of this Festival allows invited display companies to showcase their creative talents without typical restrictions.  For these amazing pyrotechnicians, the sky really is the limit.  You know that you will be left awestruck by the incredible firework displays, all set to music.  This really is a night to remember.

Distant Thunder Fireworks was formed in 2007 and primarily focused on the wedding industry at first.

Through the friendships we have built within the Pyrotechnics world we have been delighted to have grown to a point where we are able to compete at competitions (winning the British musical Fireworks championships in 2019).

We are delighted to have been invited to Catton Hall for the first time.

Phenomenal Fireworks are an award winning display company delivering world class shows to a wide variety of events and clients. Priding
themselves in creative and bespoke displays all year round all across the country.  Their design team have only a modest 15 years experience in high profile pyro spectaculars using the latest firing systems and design software. Each year they research and source out a wide range of products from around the world to ensure their clients receive the very best effects and colours available in the industry. The team is really looking forward to taking part in this wonderful event and can’t wait to see the displays from all teams.

Sirotechnics was established in 2013, during which they won the British Musical Fireworks Championships in Southport. Since then Sirotechnics have gone on to work for Councils around the UK, Corporate Firms and Celebrities. Sirotechnics have rung in New Year for Nigeria twice as well as firing displays in Spain, France and Gibralter.  In 2017 Sirotechnics won the British Musical Fireworks Champion of Champions. In 2018 Sirotechnics won the International Fireworks Festival in the Netherlands, and 1st place at the “Art en Ciel” competition – Monaco in 2019.

Formed in 1987, Festival organisers Jubilee Fireworks are widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading fireworks companies, having gained the ‘Champion of Champions’ title in both national competitions.  International successes include Montreal, Montreal, Manila, Knokke Heist (Belgium) and Macau.  Jubilee have staged the annual spectacular at Alton Towers continually since 2010 and provide display services for numerous local authorities, Round Table events, corporate and private functions.

Additional Attractions

Steam Rally

The Festival of Fireworks has always been a family event, and for those who want to enjoy the day to its fullest, we host a Steam Rally (weather permitting), in front of the beautiful grounds of Catton Hall.

Vintage steam engines and miniature vehicles fill the lawns, which can all be enjoyed alongside our Food Festival from 2pm onwards.

Although very unlikely, severe weather conditions could prevent the Steam Rally from going ahead due to risk of damage to the Hall grounds.  Any such circumstance would be conveyed on this website and through social media.

Food Festival

Caterers serving culinary delights will be situated in the Catton Hall grounds from 2pm.  Take advantage of the many varied food stalls cooking up delicious foods from around the globe.

With the addition of desserts, hot and cold beverages, and an on-site bar,  we think everyone in your party will be fully satisfied.
